The honored land reclamation advocates the idea of building small hydroelectric power stations in Bukovina

Media: a well-known land reclamation operator, after meeting with representatives of Free Energy, was inspired by the idea of building small hydroelectric power stations in the Chernivtsi region.

The Bukovyna newspaper "Native Land" writes about this in the article "Siret can become a source of energy supply":
"At one time, our magazine told about this person, who had the title of Honored Reclamation Officer of the USSR, great practical experience in this field. Ivan Nikolaychuk said that he had contacts with the Ukrainian-Swedish company Free Energy, which is engaged in the development of small hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine.
The reclamationist believes that the time has come to move from words about the creation of alternative sources of energy supply to practical actions, in particular, using the power of the water artery of Pidhirya - Sireta. Small hydroelectric power plants can fully meet the needs of Storozhinetskyi and Vyzhnytskyi districts.
Ivan Nikolaychuk shared his idea with journalists in the hope of rallying more like-minded people around it. The man put the proposals on paper, stressing that the future of Ukraine lies precisely in such small hydroelectric power plants, built at the expense of investors.... He proposes to register all hydroelectric power plants as legal units, according to their local location with mandatory deduction of taxes to local budgets.
"Hydroelectric power plants of the 21st century are low-pressure using horizontal turbines, which require water to rise from two to five meters. This does not threaten the flooding of settlements and agricultural lands. Water from the reservoir can be used for the organization of park management for the purpose of growing vegetables. Specialists can think about the idea of growing rice," says Ivan Viktorovych.
He compares the negative impact on the environment from the implementation of the mentioned project with existing thermal and nuclear power plants. Small hydropower plants have almost no impact on the environment.
An enthusiast of an interesting project lays out all the arguments in favor of the cause, for which there is a good future for the region, and therefore for the whole of Ukraine, complete energy independence. He talks in detail about the minimization of possible floods, and also suggests that each community make a preliminary allocation of the necessary land for the construction of a cascade of small hydroelectric plants in the area. So, the idea has been voiced, we suggest contacting the author I. V. Nikolaychuk, who lives in Staraya Zhadova, directly."
