"Svobodna Energy" held a meeting with the management of the Novograd-Volyn district

On July 19, representatives of the Svobodna Energy company met with the head of the Novograd-Volyn RDA, V.V. Mykhniuk.

The working meeting with the district management took place at the initiative of the Svobodna Energy company. The reason for the meeting was the publication on the website of the Novograd-Volyn RDA of news dated 07/05/2017 regarding two investment projects for the construction of mini-hydroelectric power stations on the territory of neighboring village councils - Kurchytska and Luchytska.
In this news, which generally reflects the position of the company "Novell", which intends to build a hydroelectric power station on the territory of the Kurchytsk settlement council, the head of the district expresses a fair opinion: "In order to make the right decision, it is necessary to listen to both sides, weigh the opinions on this matter, I plan to discuss this issue with them in the future."
In order to objectively understand the situation, the company's specialists provided all the necessary documents and explanations to the head of the RDA Mykhniuk V.V. and specialized specialists of the district government regarding the construction of a mini hydroelectric power plant by "Svobodna Energy" LLC on the territory of the Luchytsk village council.
Volodymyr Atamanyuk, General Director of Svobodna Energy LLC, reminded the audience that the company has been operating in the Novograd-Volyn region since April 2014 and was initially interested in the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant on the territory of the Kurchytsk settlement council. But after thoroughly studying this issue, the specialists of the Svobodna Energy company came to the conclusion that the construction of a hydroelectric power plant in this city on the Sluch River is not economically and ecologically unfeasible and found more convenient sites near the village of Luchytsia.
Director of "Zhytomyrvodproekt" Gornostal Yury Danylovych told the audience about the features of the Sluch River and potential problems in the case of the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power station in the village of Kurchytsia, economic and environmental risks in the implementation of this project, which may lead to the flooding of some territories of the Kurchytsia Village Council.
During the meeting, Volodymyr Mykhniuk repeatedly emphasized that investors should first of all comply with the law in their actions. Therefore, the lawyers of Svobodna Energia provided the management and lawyers of the RDA with all the necessary documents and comprehensive legal explanations regarding the issues received from the Novograd-Volyn RDA. For example, the company's lawyers gave an explanation regarding public hearings regarding the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant in the village of Luchytsia.
The Luchytsia Village Council has announced public hearings with the opportunity to submit proposals and comments regarding urban planning documentation for the construction of a mini hydroelectric power plant within the Luchytsia settlement. The deadline for submitting proposals and comments expired on July 7, 2017 at 5 p.m., and at that time no proposals and comments were received from the Luchytsk community. Thus, in accordance with the current legislation, the community actually confirmed its consent to the construction of a mini-hydroelectric power plant in the village of Luchytsia.
"Svobodna Energy" LLC emphasizes that in its actions the company always adheres to the principles of transparency, legality, environmental and social obligations to the community. If necessary, the company is ready to defend its interests at all levels within the limits of current legislation.
