In the Memorandum, the company and the regional administration declared the joint goals of cooperation:
creation of favorable conditions for the development of alternative energy in the Lviv region;
attraction of significant investments and innovative resources to the region;
creation of additional jobs and increase in the flow of funds to the budget;
improvement of energy supply, development of energy and engineering infrastructure of the region;
improving the protection of the population, territories and property from floods
Rostislav Zamlynskyi, the first deputy head of the LOD, while signing the document, noted that the leadership of Lviv Oblast intends to systematically continue to develop the great investment potential of the region:
``Working in various industry directions, we cover, in a broad sense, the investment climate and a large number of individual business entities. Therefore, cooperation with a company that represents European investments in the field of alternative energy is interesting and promising for the region. An investor company can always turn to the heads of specialized departments for information and organizational help,'' Rostyslav Zamlynskyi emphasized.
Anatoliy Nikolaychuk, director of strategy and development of ``Free Energy'' company, noted at the signing of the Memorandum: "We have long been interested in the Lviv region regarding the development of projects in the field of alternative energy. The priority area of our company's activity is small hydropower, where, in our opinion, Lviv Oblast has unrealized potential. We have done a lot of work in the region, analyzing the possibilities of some hydraulic structures and reservoirs. To date, we are considering the possibility of building several small hydropower plants in the region, for example, at the Zavadiv and Dobrotvir reservoirs."
Anatolii Nikolaychuk also emphasized that the company must take into account the social needs of territorial communities in its activities.
